Frank T. Blazevich, 84, of Claysburg, passed away Friday May 31, 2019 at Homewood at Martinsburg. He was born April 4,1935 in Claysburg, son of the late Ignatz F. and Catherine (Pozgar) Blazevich.
Surviving are a son Vincent Blazevich (Georgia) of Bellefonte, two daughters Vicky Barile (Zach) of Winchester, MA and Veronica Blazevich of Cresson, 4 grandchildren, a sister Carol Kagarise (Fred) of Roaring Spring and good friends George Deffibaugh and Joe Benny Musselman. He was preceded in death by brothers John and Joseph and a sister Wilma.
Frank was a 1953 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and was a self-employed service station operator for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany with the 5th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.
Frank was a member of St. Thomas More Chapel, Claysburg, Claysburg American Legion, Pleasantville V.F.W. and the Mosquito Creek and Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Associations.
He enjoyed deer hunting and tinkering with anything.
Friends will be received on Saturday June 8, 2019 from 9:30 A.M. until the 10:30 A.M. memorial service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Following the memorial service friends may gather at Frank’s Place for a time of remembrance.
