Gerald "Pat" P. Shaw

Gerald P. “Pat” Shaw, 86, of Duncansville, passed away Friday April 12, 2019 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. He was born April 22, 1932 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Russell and Geraldine (Mallory) Shaw. He married Shirley Long on February 2, 1954 in Winchester, VA.

Surviving are his wife of Duncansville, a son Daniel Shaw of Hollidaysburg, a daughter Kathy Shaw of Lexington, VA, two granddaughters Shawna and Melissa and three great granddaughter Keisha, Desire and Madison and a sister Sharon Croll of McKee. He was preceded in death by a brother Edwin Shaw.

Pat was a member McKee United Methodist Church. He retired in 1995 as a truck driver from Appleton Papers after 44 years of service and served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Pat was a lifetime member of the Roaring Spring V.F.W. and a member of the Roaring Spring Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking and ceramics.

Friends will be received on Monday April 15, 2019 from noon until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom with Pastor Cheryl Gonsman officiating.

Interment at Leamersville Riverview Cemetery.
