Jack D. Feathers, 83, of Claysburg, passed away Sunday January 7, 2018 at Nason Hospital. He was born July 9, 1934, in Queen, son of the late Arch and Christena (Claar) Feathers. He married Gloria K. Peck April 7, 1956 in Cumberland, MD. She passed away July 30, 2017.
Surviving are a daughter Debbie Weyandt (Terry) of Claysburg, 2 sons Jack Jr. (Mindy) of East Freedom and Mark (Beverly) of Claysburg, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren a brother Robert of McDonald and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers Clair, Arch Jr., Freeman, George and Walter and 3 sisters Ethel, Margaret and Dorothy.
Jack was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. He was a 1953 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. He retired from Small Tube Products in 1997 after more than 30 years of service.
Jack was a member of the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shotgun shoots.
Friends will be received Thursday January 11, 2018 from 6 PM until the 8:00 P.M. funeral service at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, with Pastor David Maxwell officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery.
