Joy A. “Joy Joy” Feathers, 64, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday March 23, 2018 at UPMC-Altoona, after a short illness. She was born March 26, 1953 in Altoona, daughter of Shirley F. (Heuston) Ritchey and the late Thomas C. Ritchey. She married Donald M. Feathers April 19, 1984 in Hollidaysburg.
Surviving are her husband Donald of Hollidaysburg, her mother Shirley of Hollidaysburg, a son Matthew S. and wife Stacy of Williamsburg, a brother Scott D. Ritchey and wife Sue of Duncansville, nieces and nephews Trevor, Trina (Scott), Scott, Tiffany (Brent), Ashley (Cody), Christina, Jennifer, Shannon and Jamie, and great nieces and nephews Ayla, Adeline, Trenten, Vincent, David and Conner. She was preceded in death by a sister Hope N. Petrou.
Joy attended Dry Run Independent Baptist Church. She retired as a cook in 2015 from the YMCA Children Services, where she was known as Joy Joy to all the children.
She loved and cared for her family, the family dog “Jake” and helping whoever was in need.
Friends will be received Monday March 26, 2018 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday 10:00 A.M. until the Noon funeral service at the Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, 633 Valley Forge Rd., Duncansville, PA 16635, with Pastor John D. Leatherman officiating. Interment at Dry Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the church Missions Fund.
