Shirley Finnegan Arrrangement

Shirley M. Finnegan, 81, a resident of the Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of King, passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 at the home. She was born October 4, 1936 in Sproul, daughter of the late James F. and Priscilla (Finnegan) Deffibaugh. She married Dale S. Finnegan, September 5, 1952 in Claysburg. He passed away August 4, 1999.

 

Surviving are a son Danny Finnegan and wife Jackie of East Freedom, three daughters Pamela Ebersole and husband Roger of Osterburg, Lori Smith and husband Dwayne of Sproul and Tonya Beegle of Claysburg, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson David Allen Smith, a brother Charles Deffibaugh and two sisters Annie Gates and Betty Raupach.

 

Shirley independently owned and operated a flag car service for over 40 years. She attended church at the Village at Morrisons Cove and enjoyed watching football, baseball, NASCAR and spending time with her family.

 

Shirley was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

 

Friends will be received Thursday March 8, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until the 7:00 P.M. funeral service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Linda Banaczek officiating. Interment at St. Mark’s Cemetery, King.

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company, P.O Box 292, Claysburg, PA 16625.
