Shirley J. Weyandt, 81, of East Freedom, passed away Sunday December 31, 2017 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born October 13, 1936 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Fred and Marlus (Dodson) Glass. She married William M. Weyandt August 19, 1955 in Claysburg. He passed away May 13, 1976.
Surviving are 3 children Vickie Malovich and husband Eric of Claysburg, William A. Weyandt and wife Bobbie of East Freedom and Sandra M. White and husband Brian of Roaring Spring, 4 grandchildren Michael, Zachary, Derek and Brandon, 3 great grandchildren Delana, Danica and Dakota and her beloved sister Eleanor Martz of East Freedom.
Shirley most recently attended Smith Corner Mennonite Church.
She was a former member of Rebekah’s Lodge, Claysburg.
Shirley attended Greenfield-Kimmel High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed to do crafts and flower arrangements.
Friends will be received Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 10 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. memorial service, at Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom, with Rev. Joel Kletzing officiating. Interment at Alto-Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
