Cathy Sue Cox, 44, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Queen, passed away Tuesday July 2, 2019 at Nason Hospital. She was born December 2, 1974 in Roaring Spring, daughter of David and Nancy (Ruggles) Cox.
Surviving are her parents of Queen, a daughter Savannah Melton of Harrisburg, a sister Lori Cox of Harrisburg, a nephew David Cox and wife Amanda of Johnstown, an aunt Wendy Ruggles, cousins Bonnie Garner, Patty and David Garner, David and Gloria Garner and several other cousins.
Cathy was a 1993 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and a May 2019 graduate of La Roche University, Pittsburgh with a B.A. in communications. She was a self-employed graphic arts designer and owned and operated Graphic Café from her home.
Cathy was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Imler and enjoyed exercising and volunteering at animal shelters. The greatest moments of her life, were those spent with her daughter Savannah.
Friends will be received from 2-6 P.M. on Sunday July 7, 2019 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Claysburg Area Public Library or to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
