Dale L. Feathers

Dale L. Feathers, 56, of Claysburg, passed away, suddenly, Friday January 19, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after contracting the flu. He was born June 12, 1961 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Alva E. and Grace V. (Ritchey) Feathers. He married Suzanne Glunt May 21, 2001 at the Outer Banks, NC after an 11 year committed relationship.

Surviving are his wife, daughters Jennifer Knee (Franklin), Shannon Brown and Jamie Stombaugh (Eric), grandsons, Vincent Sanders Jr., David Dadzie and Conner Stombaugh, brothers Robert E. (Eileen), Donald M. (Joy) and Dennis, niece Christina and nephew Matthew.

Dale was a 1979 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. He was employed as a truck driver at Smith Transport for the past 22 years.

Dale was a member of the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company for 42 years, where he served as Fire Chief, Asst. Fire Chief, Trustee, President and President of the Relief Association. He enjoyed cutting firewood, hunting and collecting.

Dale was a loving and caring man and was adored by his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, outstanding father to his daughters and an amazing pap to his grandsons.

Friends will be received Thursday January 25, from 2-8 P.M. and Friday January 26, 11:00 A.M until the Noon Funeral Service at the Claysburg Fire Hall, 13223 Dunnings Hwy., Claysburg, PA 16625 with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Interment at St. Mark’s Cemetery, King.
