Dennis “Wayne” Shidler

Dennis “Wayne” Shidler, 69, of Defiance, passed away Monday July 1, 2019 at Nason Hospital. He was born March 12, 1950 in Corsicana, TX, son of the late Robert Branch and Billie (Darden). He married Dena Stefanos on March 5, 1985 in Dallas, TX.

Surviving are his wife, four children Anita Taji, Robert Shidler, Sarah Waggoner and Amber McGrew, seven grandchildren Blythe, Jacob, Cyrus, Austen, Robyn, Kay Dee and Zakkary, siblings Jack Arneson, Christy Shidler-Keller, Gloria and Taddy Platt and several other siblings.

Wayne was a member of the Dallas Community Cowboy Church, Balch Springs, TX. He retired from Zip Delivery in 2012 and was previously an over the road truck driver for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed playing poker.

Friends will be received on Wednesday July 3, 2019 from 4 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. funeral service with his son-in-law Donald Waggoner officiating.
