Douglas W. Hoover

Douglas W. Hoover, 60, of Roaring Spring, passed away on Saturday July 27, 2019 at home. He was born March 14, 1959 in Altoona, son of Erdene (Wilt) Hoover and the late Donald W. Hoover.

Surviving are his mother of Roaring Spring, a sister Lisa Harp and husband Ed of Roaring Spring, a brother Clay Hoover and wife Dena of Duncansville, 2 nephews Christopher and Matthew Liebal and a step niece Caroline Harp.

Doug was a self-employed drywall contractor until his retirement in 2013. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1976 – 1978 and enjoyed fishing and putting jigsaw puzzles together.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 10, 2019 at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom, with Pastor Stephen Durr officiating.
