Edith A. Ramsey, 80, of Imler, passed away Tuesday March 19, 2019 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born December 8, 1938 in Imler, daughter of the late Charles E. and Freda B. (Eicher) Walter. She married Robert R. Ramsey on December 31, 1959 in Claysburg.
Surviving are her husband of Imler, 2 sons Randy L. Ramsey and wife Melinda and Douglas E. Ramsey both of Imler.2 granddaughters Melinda Riley and Amanda Ramsey, 3 great grandchildren Charles, Jessica and William Riley and a sister Eleanor McClanahan of Mechanicsburg. She was preceded in death by a son Rusty, a great granddaughter Christina Riley and a sister Nancy Biddle.
Edith was a member of the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren and enjoyed going to the Bible Study Group. She was a 1957 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and retired as an assembler from Veeder Root in 2001 and was previously employed at Cove Shoe and Sylvania.
Edith was an avid quilter and was a member of various quilting clubs in the area. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing.
Friends will be received from 2-6 P.M. on Friday March 22, 2019 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor John Winesickle officiating. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery.
