Helen R. “Jennie” Bailey, 82, of Queen, passed away Sunday April 7, 2019 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College. She was born June 5, 1936 in Queen, daughter of the late Francis O. and M. Edna (Weyant) McCoy. She married Ronald G. Bailey on October 27, 1956 in Cumberland, MD.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter Barbara Bailey-Glass and husband Tyke, granddaughter Jessica McCorkle and husband Sean, great granddaughter Jocelyn, step great granddaughter Rayne, sister-in-law Nancy McCoy and special friends Emily Corle, Lisa Claar, Daisy Costanza, Steve and Jennifer Costanza and sons. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert D. McCoy.
Jennie attended the Queen United Methodist Church. She was a 1954 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and retired from the Riverside Market Deli, Duncansville after 17 years of service. She was previously employed at Cove Shoe, Martinsburg and Bali Bra, Windber.
Jennie enjoyed sewing and her cats “Tommy”, “Missy”, “Maxon” and “Cookie”.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery, Imler. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to your local humane society.
