Iva J. Hershberger

Iva J. Hershberger, 66, of Claysburg, passed away Saturday June 1, 2019 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born December 14, 1952 in Roaring Spring daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Musselman) Musselman. She married Raymond B. Hershberger on July 11, 1980 in Claysburg. He passed away April 13, 2007.

Surviving are a son Travis B. Hershberger of Peru, IN, brothers Roger L. Musselman and wife Jackie and Elwood Musselman and wife April, a sister Jane M. Musselman all of Claysburg and her mother-in-law Madolyn “Polly” Hershberger of Bedford. She was preceded in death by sisters Judy and Louise Musselman, a niece Deanna Musselman, and a nephew Jamie Hershberger.

Iva was a 1972 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. She retired from Cove Shoe and was previously employed at TriTex.

Iva was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren and enjoyed going to church, traveling, sporting events, and spending time with family.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday June 5, 2019 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday June 6, 2019 at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, with Pastor David Maxwell officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to her church.
