James A. Morrison, 64, of Claysburg, passed away Wednesday January 24, 2018 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born January 2, 1954 in Clearfield son of Betty (Jasper) Morrison and the late Chester Morrison. He married Kimberly Sipes on January 2, 2010.
Surviving are his mother of Clearfield, his wife of Claysburg, daughters Crystal Troy (William) of Clearfield, Jamie Sutton (Jason) of Newark, NY, a son James “JC” Morrison of Lyons, NY, 6 grandchildren James, Christopher, Ashley, Natalie, Chase and Sydney, a great grandson Hunter, a sister Myra Calhoun (Raymond), step daughters Heather Feather (Perry), Lacy Frazier (Doug) and Kayla Baird and 4 step grandchildren Deegan, Mason, Emerson and Wyatt.
James was a graduate of Clearfield High School. He retired as a supervisor from U.S. Cans and was previously a self-employed truck driver.
Jim wrote music, played guitar and sang in The Stone Ridge Band. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering in his garage and working on his Corvette, gardening, feeding birds and watching the Steelers.
Friends will be received Sunday January 28, from 1:00 P.M. until the 3:00 P.M. funeral service at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom, with Pastor Daren Ritchey officiating. Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
