Joan Claar Arrrangement

Joan Marie Claar, 89, of Queen, passed away Monday October 14, 2019 at home. She was born July 17, 1930 in East Freedom, daughter of Sheldon and Gertrude (Weyandt) Benton. She married Frederick Mayberry Claar and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter Diana L. Clapper and a son Alan Claar both of Queen, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two sisters Nancy Clinich and Peggy Thompson.

Joan was a 1949 graduate of Claysburg High School.

She was a Jehovah’s Witness, homemaker and enjoyed babysitting and mowing her yard.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
