Joanne R. Miller

Joanne R. Miller, 89, of East Freedom, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday October 18, 2018. She was born January 16, 1929 in East Freedom, daughter of the late Harrison and Martha (Eichelberger) Smith. She married Robert R. Miller on August 28, 1954 in Claysburg. He passed away February 13, 2011.

Surviving are two daughters Roxie Miller of East Freedom and Stacey Hillegas and husband Randy of Schellsburg and many nieces and nephews.

She was the last of nine children. She was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Louise, Jack, Madeline, Ruth, Dick, Jim, Bill and Celesta.

Joanne was a homemaker and was an avid doll collector. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received on Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral service at the Claysburg Bible Church, 11751 William Penn Rd., Imler, PA 16655, Pastor Keith Showalter officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
