Loretta F. Imler

October 1, 1922 ~ July 31, 2018 (age 95)

Loretta F. Imler, 95, a resident of Elmcroft at Duncansville, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday July 31, 2018 at the home. She was born October 1, 1922 in Pavia daughter of the late E. Waugaman and Ethel (Wentz) Ickes. She married Grover P. Imler March 1, 1944 in Claysburg. He passed away June 8, 1998.

 

 

Surviving are a son Vaughn R. Imler and wife Carolyn, 5 granddaughters Bobbi J. Adragna (Frank), Kim Imler (Hakeem), Lori A Dutrow, Erin L. Imler (Jack) and Vicki R. Davis (Bernard), 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Marlin K. Ickes and Maynard W. Ickes and a sister Mona J. Grove. She was preceded in death by a brother Curtis L. Ickes.

 

 

Mrs. Imler was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Claysburg. She was a 1941 graduate of Bedford High School and the Altoona School of Commerce. She retired as a timekeeper from GREFCO on October 1, 1987.

 

 

She enjoyed going to Potter county, camping and trout fishing.

 

 

Friends will be received Thursday August 2, 2018 from 5 P.M. until the 7:00 P.M. funeral service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.

 

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Grace United Church of Christ, Claysburg.
