Louise (Wright) Schlegelmilch

Louise Schlegelmilch, 91, formerly of Martinsburg and Severna Park MD, passed away Sunday June 24, 2018 at her sons home in Leicester, NC. She was born April 27, 1927 in Queen the daughter of Milford and Erma (Croyle) Wright.  On Nov. 23, 1950 in Claysburg she married her high school sweetheart, Harry W. (Slug) Schlegelmilch who passed away Aug. 24, 2004.

Surviving are her son Clifford and wife Sheryl, two grandchildren Mark and Maria, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister Mary N. Hileman, and infant brother Phillip.

She was a 1945 graduate of Claysburg High School and went on to become a registered nurse.  She served as the school nurse at Claysburg High School.  She was a member of the Severna Park United Methodist Church.  She had been a long-time resident of the Village at Morrisons Cove.

Friends will be received Friday June 29, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and Saturday June 30 from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Officiating will be Pastor Phil Waite.  Internment in Upper Claar Cemetery. 

In lien of flowers, the family requests memorial be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1004 North Juniata St. Hollidaysburg.
