Mable G. McIntyre, 92, formerly of East Freedom, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Village at Morrison Cove. She was born Feb. 3, 1926 in Henrietta the daughter of Frank and Ella (Settle) Stonerook. On Aug. 30, 1943 in Cumberland she married Everett M. McIntyre who passed away Aug. 13, 1999.
Surviving are sons Donald M. (Shirley) of Altoona and Gary E. (Donna) of Duncansville, grandchildren Michael, Mark (Mark Merluzzi), and Shaun (Kristy), great grandchildren Victoria, Nicholas, and Aiden, sister Betty Hammel, and dear friends Thelma Deterline and Charlotte Hampton. She was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Shaffer.
She attended Morrison Cove High School. She was a life member of the Leamersville Church of the Brethren where she and her husband served as deaconess and deacon for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking, canning, and sewing. She also enjoyed watching TV ministers Charles Stanley and Billy Graham.
Friends will be received Monday July 23, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom. Pastor Daniel Hammel will officiate. Interment in Diehl’s Crossroad Cemetery.
