Marguerite L. Campbell, 87, of Claysburg, passed away Saturday February 2, 2019 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born April 30, 1931 in Duncansville, daughter of the late Levi W. and Marguerite (Drass) DeLozier. She married Samuel Dean Campbell on January 12, 1980 in Duncansville.
Surviving are a stepdaughter Sara Walter of Purcellville, VA, a stepson Joseph Peter Campbell of Harpers Ferry, WV and 13 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers Donald A., Joseph P., James A. and Gordon DeLozier, a sister Elizabeth Hetrick, a stepson S. David Campbell and a nephew Edward Hetrick.
Marguerite was a 1949 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was employed by Blair County, first in the Sheriff’s Department and then in the Commissioner’s Office, and retired after 42 years of service.
Marguerite served on the Blair County Election Board and enjoyed reading, traveling and crossword puzzles.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
