Phyllis J. Mitchell

Phyllis J. Mitchell, 73, of Pennknoll Village formerly of New Paris, passed away Saturday December 8, 2018 at Pennknoll. She was born April 21, 1945 in Bedford the daughter of the late Harry and late Jean (Smith) Nunamaker.  She married Donald E. Mitchell who passed away in August 2017.

Surviving are grandchildren Beth Peifer, Michael Peifer, Kara Bowser. Shania Otto, Summer Otto, great grandsons Jacob Peifer and CJ Weyandt, brothers and sisters Norman Smith, Barbara May, Kathy Mearkle, Larry, Gary, and Terry Nunamaker, Janet Nolan, and Annabelle Smith.  She was predeceased by children Lisa Mitchell, Wanda Bowser, Susan Peifer, Brenda Otto, and a granddaughter, Shawna Otto.

Phyllis was a member of the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed her loving family, raising her grandchildren, a special relationship to the staff at Pennknoll especially to those of the 100 hall, bingo, going to church, and other activities.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
