Shirley Jean Weyant, 82, of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday October 2, 2018 at UPMC - Altoona. She was born September 13, 1936 in Queen, daughter of the late Chester and Edith (Harr) Claar. She married Donald Weyandt on October 13, 1956 in Cumberland, MD.
Surviving are her husband, sons Mearle L. and Allen W. “Gumby” Weyant, daughter Ronnette Musselman (Mark), eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister Rhonda Feather (Danny) and brother Carl Claar (Sally) and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sisters Carol Bollman and Mary Jane Brown and brothers Mayberry, Robert, John, Ronald, Roger, and Chester Claar.
Shirley was a member of the Claysburg Church of God. She was a 1954 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. She retired from Martinsburg Shoe Co. and sold Sarah Coventry jewelry.
Shirley enjoyed being at home and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received Saturday October 6, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Claysburg Church of God, 4311 Evergreen Road, Claysburg, PA 16625. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday October 7, 2018 at the church with Pastor Terry Bowden officiating.
