Sylvia R. Dibert

Sylvia R. Dibert, 97, of Duncansville formerly of Claysburg, passed away Friday September 20, 2019 at Nason Hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1922 in Queen, daughter of the late Charles B. and Grace I. (Schoenfelt) Weyant. She married Thomas R. Dibert, Sr. on Mar. 29, 1940 in Cumberland, MD. He passed away Feb. 26, 1986.

Surviving are two sons Dennis W. (Trudy) of Cummings, GA and Roger A. Dibert of Duncansville, daughter-in-law, Linda Dibert  of Claysburg many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia A. Dibert, a son Thomas R. Dibert, Jr., and a sister Ruby Balocco.

Sylvia was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Friends will be received Wednesday Sept. 25 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1200 4th Ave., Duncansville from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Jaime Olson officiating.  Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.

Memorial may be given to the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Co., PO Box 292, Claysburg, PA 16625.
