Allen N. Bridges

Allen N. Bridges, 66, of Portage, formerly of East Freedom, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born July 12, 1955 in Roaring Spring, son of Rosella (Hengst) Bridges and the late George A. Bridges.

Surviving is his mother of Everett, two sons Joshua Bridges (Dylan) of Roaring Spring and Jacob Bridges of Huntingdon, a granddaughter Sophia Bridges, a niece Tricia Mock McMahon of Altoona, and an aunt Ruth Anna Bowser of Osterburg. He was preceded in death by a sister Diane Mock and a brother Gary Bridges.

Allen was a 1973 graduate of Central High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Cherry Lane Church of the Brethren, Clearville, the Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company and the Everett Sportsman’s Association. He was formerly employed as a machinist at JLG.

Allen enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, wrestling and spending time with his family.

Friends will be received on Tuesday January 18, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until the 6:15 P.M. memorial service at the Freedom Township Fire Hall, 139 Municipal Street, East Freedom, PA 16637 with Pastor James Neatrour and special speaker Kenny Hinish officiating. A meal will be served following the service.
