Betty Vera Dodson

Betty Vera Dodson, 93, of Queen, went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday March 3, 2018. She was born April 5, 1924, in Claysburg, daughter of the late Merritt and Laverda (Strayer) Knisely and was raised in Henrietta. She was twice married, first to James B. Knisely who passed away January 21, 1967 and on November 27, 1971 she married Richard L. Dodson.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, a son James Knisely and wife Carol of Fairfield, 3 grandchildren, and a sister Flo Zupon of Queen. She was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth, a sister Cleta and an adopted sister Carol Zerby.

Betty was a member of the Queen Gospel Hall. She was a homemaker and was previously employed at Sylvania. She enjoyed flowers and serving the Lord.

Friends will be received Tuesday March 6, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Mr. Bob Harris officiating. Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
