Betty Eicher Arrrangement

Betty Marian Eicher, 77, of Claysburg, passed away Sunday March 7, 2021 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born March 11, 1943, in a log house on the family farm in Imler, daughter of the late Arthur S. and Alverta R. (Wolford) Claycomb. She married Fred M. Eicher on October 8, 1966 in Winchester, VA and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2011.

 

 

Surviving is a son Kenneth E. Claycomb and his wife Leslie “Bess”, a grandson Aaron A. Claycomb, all of Roaring Spring, a brother Barry Claycomb of Lovely and two sisters Wanda Burke of Claysburg and Phyllis Cuppett of Bedford. She was preceded in death by three sisters Pearl Claycomb, Frances Black and Anna Harr and five brothers Ernest, Vernon, Wayne, Donald and Arthur Claycomb.

 

 

Betty attended Chestnut Ridge High School. She retired as an operator from Verizon in 2010 and previously worked at a few sewing factories. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.

 

 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. We ask those in attendance to wear a mask and follow CDC guidelines.

 

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Claysburg Area Public Library for children’s books.
