Carl T. Settle, 76, of Claysburg, passed away Saturday January 1, 2022 at Conemagh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born December 5, 1945, in Ore Hill, son of the late David and Emma (Hammel) Settle.

 

 

Surviving is his longtime companion Edith Dodson, 3 children Teresa Rogers (Billy), Bradley Settle (Sandra) and Carl Franell (Stephanie), 3 step children Dorothy Musselman, Kathy Garrett and Jay Imler, 9 grandchildren Tyleena Spino, Leesha Weeks-Moore, Latosha Settle, Tylor Settle, Chelsea George, Emily Franell, Chuck Musselman, Juanita Musselman and Stephanie Griffith, 10 great grandchildren Mercedes Weeks, Devon Spino, Dexter Spino, Victoria Moore, Collins Moore, Bevanee Moore, Dalton Musselman, Kyle Musselman, Tryston Poet, Ethon Poet, 4 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers Charles Settle (Mary) and George Settle (Linda) and many neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers James and David Settle and a grandson Evan George.

 

 

Carl served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was employed as a truck driver for McCabe Trucking and Warren Tipton and was previously employed at Berwind Rail, Hollidaysburg.

 

 

Carl was a member of the Johnstown V.F.W. and the Southern Blair County Senior Center. He enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, roller skating, horses and chickens.

 

 

Carl’s greatest joy was spending time with his family.

 

 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M Thursday January 6, 2022 at the Lower Claar Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Braun officiating.
