Cathie Sue Dibert, 53, of Claysburg, passed away Friday June 30, 2023 at UPMC-Presbyterian. She was born November 21, 1969 in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Ernest Frederick and Carol Jean (Walter) Eltman. She married Rodney Dibert on June 26, 2003 in Greenfield Township.
Surviving is her husband, children Joshua Eltman, Katie Clark (Bobby), Emily Musselman (Devon) and Jordan Dibert (Kalynn), grandchildren Kellee, Reyce, Lilly, Clarissa, Paisley and Audrey and her best friends Thom Burns and Michelle Wright. She was preceded in death by a son Rodney Garrett.
Cathie was a 1987 graduate of Northern Bedford High School. After high school, she joined the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1993. She then went to the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing and became a registered Nurse. She retired from Homewood at Martinsburg in 2005 and was previously employed at Bon Secour Hospital and for various physicians.
Cathie was a member of the Claysburg American Legion, where served as Commander for 3 years. She also was involved in Hometown Heroes, Farming for Veterans. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed arts, crafts, and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday July 6, 2023 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home,Claysburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday July 7, 2023 at the funeral home with Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment at Lower Claar Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Claysburg American Legion.
