Chae Lynn Burtnett, 27, of Claysburg passed away Tuesday September 12, 2023. She was born January 8, 1996 in Bedford, and was referred to as Stormy the Blizzard Baby of 1996 and appeared on the front page of the Bedford Gazette.
Surviving is her mother Tracy Musselman-Timmerman of Claysburg, her father Chad Burtnett of Philadelphia, sisters Jamie Bush, Jaden Burtnett, and Amber Metcalf, step brother Tyler Lewandowski, step sister Regan Leppert, and special niece and nephew Wylder and Ryatt, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her grandfather Alfred C. Burtnett Jr. and wife Jan of Sarasota, FL, uncle JesseTudor of Port St. Lucie, FL, grandfather Andrew Deffibaugh of Claysburg and many members of her extended family who loved and cared for her.
Chae was preceded in death by a son Carl Dean in 2011, grandmother Sandra Ellis, great grandmother Elizabeth Bartnett, grandmother Phyllis Deffibaugh, grandfather Jeffrey “Musky” Musselman and a brother Dakota Brayden Burtnett.
As a child, Chae enjoyed dancing at Gayle’s Dance Studio, and still enjoyed dancing as an adult. She was amember of the Smokey Run Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also liked to roller skate, and roller derby.
Friends will be received from 2 P.M until the 4:30 P.M. memorial service on Sunday September 17, 2023 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.
