Charlotte Genoveva Dively

Charlotte Genoveva Dively, 84, of Claysburg, went peacefully from her home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 22, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born the daughter of the late Fredericke (Feser) and Johann Christoph Schober in Wurzburg, Germany on May 31, 1937. She married Walton E. Dively on March 1, 1960 in Winchester, Va. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Gunter and Manfred, and a sister Ria, all who resided in Wurzburg, Germany.

She is survived by a daughter, Suzi Dodson of Claysburg, and three grandsons Jason Dodson (Paula) of Greenwood, Jeremy Dodson (Jessica) and Johnathan “Skunk” Dodson (Brittanie) of Claysburg. She has 11 great grandchildren Chase and Karter Dodson, Jaelyn Ritchey, Jakob, Jakobie, Janea, Camden and Addisynn Dodson, Alexa Williams, Taylor and Christian Ditillio, and five great great grandchildren, Alidiya, Jaiyce, Jonah, Alijah Smith, Lincoln Shields and baby Rohan Dodson, who is on the way. A sister Hilga Kopter of Cornelius, North Carolina. Some nieces and nephews, and a special great nephew, Eric Wallace.

Charlotte retired from Cove Shoe after more than 25 years of service. She enjoyed going shopping with her special friend Katharina, and loved spending time with her family. She especially looked forward to her daily visits from Chase and Karter. 

Friends will be received from 2 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. funeral service on Monday July 26, 2021 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Jerry Tow officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis, TN, 38105.
