Charlotte A. Eicher, 71, of Claysburg, passed away Wednesday July 11, 2018 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born February 9, 1947 in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late William C. and Menalie (Beaver) Ebersole. She married Garland M. Eicher Jr. on May 14, 1966 in Cumberland, MD. He passed away February 20, 2016.
Surviving are a son Garland M. Eicher III and wife Tracie of Imler, two daughters Miriam R. Feathers and husband Michael of Alum Bank and Melinda A. McDonald and husband Kevin of Claysburg, 7 grandchildren Patrick and Gracie Eicher, Levi, Cole and Elizabeth Feathers and Logan and Hunter McDonald, a sister Susan Mock and a brother James Harold Ebersole. She was preceded in death by two brothers Charles R and David S. Ebersole.
Charlotte was a member of the Queen United Methodist Church. She was a 1964 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and also graduated from Adele Allen Beauty School, Altoona. She was employed at the family business, Garland M. Eicher and Son Packing Company, until 1988 and then retired as a consumer safety inspector for USDA in 2004.
She was an avid quilter and enjoyed many crafts, cooking new and different foods, her little dog “Penny” and spending time with her children and grandchildren at the family camp in Potter County.
Friends will be received on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. and Friday July 13, 2018 from 10 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. funeral service at the Queen United Methodist Church with Pastor John Mackey officiating. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Queen United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
