Clyde F. Durbin, 79, of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday March 15, 2022 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born July 20, 1942 in Ebensburg, son of the late Luke and Anna (Lauer) Durbin. He married Joyce (Eicher) Wilkins on March 4, 1992 in Nashville, TN.
Surviving is his wife, a daughter Nadine Lane and husband Jim of Greensburg, a grandson Matt Valenti, two great grandchildren Mirabelle Justice and Timmy Lalor and a brother Joe Durbin. He was preceded in death by two sisters Alean Moody and Jane Frailey, a brother Robert Durbin, a daughter Christine Wilkins and a granddaughter Lindsay Valenti.
Clyde was a 1960 graduate of Central Cambria High School and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired as a manager at Smith Transport in 2003 and was previously employed at Suwak Trucking.
Clyde was a member of the Claysburg American Legion and Iron Masters Country Club, Roaring Spring. He enjoyed golfing and was known as “Mr. One Liner” at the club.
A celebration of Clyde’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday March 27, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
