Connie Lee (Deem) Cronemiller, 82, formerly of Hopewell, went home to the Lord, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday August 22, 2021 at Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg.
She was born June 3, 1939 in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Harry R. and Mary (Wertz) Deem. Connie was the first of five children and was preceded in death by her brother Robert Deem.
Her memory will live on through her children, Shelley (Carl) Williams, Alan (Deborah) Cronemiller, William (Cheryl) Cronemiller and Betty (Ronald) Kensinger, her siblings Shirley (Charles) Burk, Donna (Donald) Brawley and Gary (Marjorie) Deem, her 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A longtime member at Bedford Forge United Methodist Church, Connie was involved in all aspects of church life. She taught Sunday school for many years and enjoyed singing on Sunday mornings. For most of her working career, Connie tended to the elderly as an aide at Pennknoll Village. She served the residents with love and compassion until her retirement in 2001.
Connie is best remembered for her conversations with everyone, her love of owls, and the joy she had when calling or playing Bingo.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday August 25, 2021 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 26, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment at Alto-Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be given to the Hopewell Senior Center, 305 Mifflin Street, Hopewell, PA 16650, in her memory.
