Daniel Roy Walter, 61, of Claysburg, passed away Monday April 20, 2020 at home. He was born October 24, 1958 in Roaring Spring, son of the late George Orville and Pearl Grace (Deffibaugh) Walter.
Surviving is the “apple of his eye” granddaughter Coraline Rose Leppert, a daughter Maria L. Leppert and husband Brendan, a sister Bessie Anna Walter and partner Noel Claar, fiancée Dorleda Weyandt and his “block friends”, Fred and Steph, John and Chris, Charles and Sandy, Butch and Linda, Wayne and Judy, Mouse and Wanda and Drew.
Danny was a 1976 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and received his masonry certificate from Altoona Area Vo Tech. He was employed as a supervisor at JLG, Bedford and had previously been employed at Hedstrom.
Danny was of the protestant faith and a member of various sportsman’s and social clubs in the area. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and a fan of all things Pittsburgh, the Pirates, Pitt and especially the Steeler’s.
Burial will be private at the Imler Valley Cemetery, A Celebration of Danny’s life will be held at a later date.
