David M. Finochio

David M. Finochio, 76, of Altoona, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday October 22, 2023 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born December 19, 1946 in Altoona, son of the late James and Edith (Pompa) Finochio. He married Teri Sorensen on December 29, 1998 in Nogales Sonora, Mexico.

Surviving is his wife of Altoona, a daughter Dawn Lites of Altoona, two grandchildren Kelsie Day and Sean Killinger (Dezarae), three great grandchildren Aiyana, Brooklynn and Bryce, numerous cousins, nieces, andnephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Joan Iaia and Frances Wagner and three brother Richard, Donald, and James Finochio.

David was a 1964 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1988 graduate of St. Francis College, where he received his degree, and became a Physician Assistant. He retired in 2023 from Blair Gastroenterology Associates and was previously employ at Conrail in Occupational Medicine until 2003.

David was a member of the Claysburg Bible Church.

He enjoyed music and was a member of the duo Taylor Made, with Bob Welsh and, also played in the band 22 East. He was an avid Pirate, Steeler, and Penn State fan.

Friends will be received on Friday October 27, 2023 from 6-8 P.M. and Saturday October 28, from 10 A.M until the 11:00 A.M. funeral service at the Claysburg Bible Church, 11751 William Penn Road, Imler, PA 16655, with Pastor Keith Showalter officiating. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
