Delma Acker

Delma Acker, 94, of Claysburg, passed away Friday January 6, 2023 at Nason Hospital. She was born March 18, 1928, in Pavia, daughter of the late Steward A. and Julia E. (Corle) Knisely. She married Warren J. Acker on June 11, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1963.

Surviving is a son Barry Acker, a daughter Pamela Walter, three grandchildren Tiffany and Brandon Walter and Chad Acker and six great grandchildren, Tyree, Joey Jr., Shaylee, Jayden, Bentley and Abby. She was preceded in death by a brother Ken and four sisters Luvern, Twila, Lillian and Veloris “Floss”.

Delma was a member of the Claysburg Church of the Brethren. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, baking, watching TV with her grandchildren and sharing her life stories with her family. She also loved her fur babies “Bear” and “Tink” and her fur grandbabies.

Friends will be received from 3-6 P.M. on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday January 10, 2023 at the funeral home with Pastors Stephen and Marilyn Durr officiating. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery.
