Donald Eugene Weyant, 84, of Claysburg, passed away Monday April 18, 2022 at home. he was born May 1, 1937, in Everett, son of the late Lester and Lena (Noland) Weyant. He married Shirley J. Claar on October 13, 1956 in Cumberland, MD. She passed away October 2, 2018.
Surviving are two sons Mearle L. and Allen W. “Gumby” Weyant, a daughter Ronnette Musselman and husband Mark, eight grandchildren, Misty, Shane, Casey, Katie, Kristen, Kendall, Tyler and Roman, nine great grandchildren, Alexis, Dominic, Kamden, Kaleb, Emma, Lane, Brody, Conner and Marcus, three great great grandchildren, Aaiden, Kyla and Parker and a sister Donna A. Weyant. He was preceded in death by a sister Edna Decker and two brothers Clarence “Pete” and Ellsworth Weyant.
Don attended Greenfield-Kimmel High School. He retired as a machinist from Roaring Spring Blank Book Company in 2000 after 40 years of service, and was previously employed at Weyant Lumber as a young man.
Don was a member of Queen United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, watching westerns and spending time with his family and church family.
Friends will be received on Thursday April 21, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Queen United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday April 22, 2022 at the church with Pastor Calvin J. Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Queen United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
