Donald G. “Whitey” Clark, 86, of Claysburg, passed away Friday February 15, 2019 at The Village at Morrisons Cove. He was born November 26, 1932 in Osterburg, son of the late Roy Blair and Gertrude Marie (Wilt) Clark. He married Mary Lightner on June 14, 1968 in Winchester, VA.
Surviving are his wife of Claysburg, a son Donald G. Clark Jr. of Florida, four daughters Dixie Claar (Sherwood) of Duncansville, Gail and Holly Clark both of East Freedom and Tracey Shook (Scott) of Bedford, 12 grandchildren Perry Olivieri, Meagan Miller, Anastacia McConnell, Justin Clark, Catie Musselman, Richanda Marks, Sgt. Tanner Richardson, Victoria and Garett Vaughan, Gavin, Jessalyn and Haylee Shook, and 9 great grandchildren, with another great granddaughter expected in May.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Annette Eckenrod, a granddaughter Tina Marie Eckenrod and all 6 of his siblings.
Donald was a member of the Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church. He was one of the last surviving students that attended the Brooks Mills Schoolhouse. He retired after being self-employed for 65 years having owned and operated Don C’s Landscaping and Don C’s Quick Mart.
Donald’s interests included trees, Donald Trump and memorabilia, Frank Sinatra, Old Westerns, collecting Cadillac items and recently horses. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Friends will be received on Tuesday February 19, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. Celebration of Life Service at the Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Sean McGill officiating.
