E. Mae Doitch

E. Mae Doitch, 90, a resident of the Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of East Freedom, passed away Saturday February 29, 2020 at the home. She was born June 10, 1929 in Everett, daughter of the late F. Irvin and Margaret (Jackson) Brown. She married Charles O. Doitch on May 23, 1946 in East Freedom and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1986.

Surviving are her longtime companion Philip Scott, a brother Glenn Brown of York, sisters-in-law Carol, Charlotte and Janet Brown and many nieces and nephews, including Pam Harr and Mark and Randy Lee Brown. She was preceded in death by a sister Anna Mary Harker, an infant brother Joseph and four brothers Blair, Richard, William and James Brown.

Mae attended Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring. She was employed at Martinsburg Shoe Company and cleaned homes in the area for many years. She enjoyed reading, animal watches and her dog “Lacy”.

Friends will be received from 1:00 P.M. until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service on Friday March 6, 2020 at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom with Pastor Charlie Miller officiating.
