Elaine M. Medasie

Elaine M. Medasie, 74, of Claysburg, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday October 14, 2020 at home. She was born March 22, 1946 in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Walter K. and Vivian M. (Burket) Feather. She married Jay C. Medasie on October 29, 1966 in King.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter Penny Poorman and husband Brad of Chambersburg, a son Paul Medasie and wife Teresa of Claysburg and three grandchildren Samantha and Jeremy Medasie and Arica Poorman. She was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Charles Feather.

Elaine was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and assisted her husband in his ministries at the church.

She was a 1964 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and was a self-employed author, writing several Christmas plays and Christian books. Elaine also assisted her husband at Claysburg Pizza. She enjoyed writing, traveling, baking, photography and spending time with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Friday October 16, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 480 Emmanuel Drive, Claysburg, PA 16625. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 17, 2020 at the church with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at St. Mark’s Cemetery, King.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 292, Claysburg, PA 16625.
