Eleanor R. Claar

Eleanor R. Claar, 92, of Duncansville, passed away Tuesday March 10, 2020, at home. She was born October 21, 1927, in Klahr, daughter of the late Elmer and Lena (Dively) Musselman. She married Robert Claar on July 31, 1945 in Cumberland, MD and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2020.

Surviving are two daughters Carol Kinsey and husband Ronald of Mohrsville and Donna Weyant and husband Richard of King, a son R. Brian Claar and wife Elaine of Camp Hill, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great grandson, four great granddaughters and a sister Jean Oakes of Queen. She was preceded in death by two brothers Luther and Leon Musselman and three sisters Dorothy Shaw, Betty McCarty and Helen V. Musselman.

Eleanor was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. She retired as an inspector from SAF-T-BAK in 1992.

She enjoyed reading, sewing and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday March 13, 2020 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 14, 2020 at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Maxwell officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery.
