Franklin J. Walter, 76, of Claysburg, passed away Sunday May 30, 2021 at UPMC-Altoona after a courageous battle with COVID 19. He was born May 11, 1945 in Claysburg son of the late Herbert Walter and Betty Dively.
Surviving are three sons Franklin II and Michael, and wife Rebecca, both of East Freedom and Timothy of Roaring Spring, five grandchildren Devon, Alyssa, Elias, Joshua and Lydia and siblings Sherry, Dennis, Gary, Wayne, Roger, Ronnie and Joyce. He was preceded in death by a sister Alma and a brother Bubby.
Frank attended Claysburg Bible Church. He retired from Saf-T-Bak and was previously employed at various manufacturing jobs in the area.
Frank was known as a very loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed deer hunting, NASCAR racing, especially Bill and Chase Elliot, Steeler football, Pirates baseball, watching when his boys played sports and was known for his appetite.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
