Fred Dibert Arrrangement

Fred A. Dibert, 88, of Osterburg, passed away Monday September 5, 2022 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born February 22, 1934, in Pavia, son of the late Elmer and Mary (Crist) Dibert. He married Donna L. Hengst on February 22, 1957 in Claysburg.

 

 


Surviving is his wife, two sons Keith of Glencoe and Kerry and wife Michele of Alum Bank, three grandchildren Quincy, Travis and Kristi, two great grandchildren Halee and Wyatt, a great-great grandson Easten, and three brothers Joseph, Barry and Robert. He was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth and James, three sisters Janet, Doris and Imagene and a daughter-in-law Hester.

 

 


Fred was a 1951 graduate of Bedford High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member and former Deacon at St. Mark’s Reformed Church, King.

 

 


He retired as a printer from Standard Register, Bedford, in 1996 after more than 20 years of service and was formerly employed at Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown. 

 

 


Fred was a member of the Bedford County Bottle Club and Shawnee Chief’s Camp Club. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads and coins, metal detecting, flea markets, ginseng hunting, hunting and fishing.

 

 


Friends will be received from 1 P.M. until the 3:00 P.M. funeral service on Thursday September 8, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Bradley Allison officiating. Interment at Pavia Cemetery.

 

 

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to his church or the American Cancer Society.
