Galen C. Carson

Galen C. Carson, 66, of Imler, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 6, 2018. He was born June 19, 1951 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Clark and Leone (Davis) Carson. He married Linda M. Claar August 20, 1970 at the Claysburg Church of God with Rev. Hoyt Williams officiating.

Surviving are his wife, a son Michael Carson and wife Tammy (Ronan), three grandchildren Riley, Kalei and Kloe Carson, who brought the biggest joy to his life, a brother Delmas Carson and wife Lola of Alum Bank, two nieces Renee Harbaugh and husband Dan and their children Trenton and Alexis, and Selena Imler and husband Kevin and their children Alex and Alyssa.

Galen was a 1969 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He retired from Canondale in 2014 after 15 years of service and was previously employed at Agway for 28 years.

He was a member of the Claysburg Church of God.

Galen enjoyed tending to his sheep, camping and enjoying retired life with his wife.

Friends will be received Wednesday May 9, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg and Thursday May 10, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. funeral service at the Claysburg Church of God with Pastor Kim Swindell officiating. Interment at Imler Valley Cemetery.
