Helen Louise “Dot” Coppersmith, 89, a resident of The Presbyterian Home, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Imler, passed away Monday April 20, 2020 at the home. She was born January 12, 1931 in St. Clairsville, daughter of the late Alston Sr. and Martha (Weyandt) Whitcomb. She married Robert A. Coppersmith on September 28, 1951 in Detroit, MI and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2008.
Surviving are two daughters Tammy Croft and husband Wayne of Altoona and Pam Brown and husband Rick of Claysburg, two sons Terry Coppersmith of Claysburg and Rodney Coppersmith and wife Wendy of Altoona, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Robert L. “Pee Wee” Coppersmith Jr., a granddaughter Christina Coppersmith, two brothers Alston Sr. and William Whitcomb and a sister Betty Wendel.
Helen was a homemaker and attended Trinity Reformed Church, Osterburg. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, shopping and decorating, especially with lights.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Osterburg Community Cemetery.
