Inez Biesinger Arrrangement

Inez M. (Dodson) Biesinger, 82, of Claysburg, passed away Saturday January 4, 2020 at home. She was born July 8, 1937 in East Freedom, daughter of the late Leo B. and Marie (Claar) Dodson.

Surviving are 7 children, Elizabeth “Libby” (Dave) Hoenstine , Pamela (Robbie) Maher, Craig (Chris), Martin (Krista), and triplets James (Lisa), David and Erica Biesinger and their father Eric Biesinger, 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, 2 brothers Lawrence “Mike” (Dorothy) and Vincent (Joy) Dodson and 3 sisters Regina (Ted) Delozier, Colleen (Michael) Ercole and Barbara (Jerry) Leslie. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Paul and Raymond Dodson and 2 sisters Loretta “Ret” Walter and Marian “Mamie” Blazevich.

Inez was a longtime member of St. Anne’s Church where she sang in the choir. She was a 1955 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired from Young’s Cargill, Martinsburg. She also was revered as a waitress when she worked at Howard Johnson’s and the Creekside Inn and was previously employed at Hometown Market and Hollidaysburg Trust Company.

Inez enjoyed quilting, especially with her sister in law, friends and nieces. She was an avid gardener and planted flowers and pulled weeds wherever she happened to be, and liked to read and listen to books.

She played the piano and had a deep appreciation for different music genres, especially classical and opera, which led her to take formal voice training lessons.

Inez gave birth to triplets, in 1971, and they were the first surviving triplets born at Altoona Hospital in many years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and showed her love for others by cooking, keeping a clean house and pitching in wherever she could.
