James E. Wendt, 78, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday November 24, 2019 at home. He was born March 14, 1941 in Altoona, PA son of the late William Sr. and Virginia (Hamilton) Wendt. He married Patricia A. Lafferty on April 22, 1961 in Lakemont.

Surviving are his wife, 3 daughters Bonnie (John) Weyandt, Barbara (Rodney) Long and Jennifer Wendt (Bruce Wyant), 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a sister Marion Lafferty. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

James owned and operated Wendt’s Towing for over 40 years and also was employed as a greeter at Wal-Mart for 10 years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
