Jerry W. Lescher, 84, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday March 20, 2023 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born January 3, 1939, in Muskogee, OK, son of the late William and Helen Sue (Seawel) Lescher. He married Penny Day on July 2, 1982 in Annapolis, MD.

 

 

Surviving is his wife Penny of Hollidaysburg, two daughters Joni Campbell of Pasadena, MD and Jill Johnson of Jacksonville, NC, and a sister Linda Judkins of Tulsa. OK. He was preceded in death by a sister Irene.

 

 

Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Central High School, Muskogee, OK. He received a Bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from Oklahoma University in 1961 and later received a Master’s degree in electronics from George Washington University. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and in the army reserves for 6 years and was employed by the federal government for 30 years.

 

 

Jerry's most avid interest was watching Oklahoma University football. He also enjoyed watching old movies. He traveled extensively with his wife and visited every continent in the world.

 

 

A memorial service will be held at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
