Joyce M. Eicher

Joyce M. Eicher, 70, of Claysburg, passed away Monday January 14, 2019 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born August 12, 1948 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Paul S. “Silky” and Gertrude E. (Albright) Way. She married Richard A. Eicher on November 5, 1976 in Claysburg.

Surviving are her husband of Claysburg, a daughter Tracy Walters and husband Michael of East Freedom, two granddaughters Sierra and Lily Walters and three brothers James Way of Altoona and Thomas and Paul Way both of Claysburg.

Joyce was a 1966 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and was employed at Cove Shoe, Martinsburg for many years. She enjoyed fishing, boating, watching her granddaughters play softball and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday January 17, 2019 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday January 18, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
