Louise Ritchey, 86, of Claysburg, passed away Friday January 17, 2020 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born May 5, 1933 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Harry E. and Anna Belle (Dively) Black. She married Roy R. Ritchey on November 8, 1951 in Franklin, IN. He passed away on April 17, 2000.
Surviving are a daughter Debbie Ellis and husband Richard of Claysburg, a son Roger Ritchey and wife Grace of Altoona, five grandchildren Jennifer Fleck, Stephanie Cowfer (Mark), Roger Ritchey II, Jeremy Ellis and Stacy Ellis, five great grandchildren Gracie, Madison, Mason, Katie and Jamie, five brothers Johnny, Gary, Donald, Harry Jr., and Robert and three sisters Rheda Rightnour, Anna Jean Weyandt and Joyce Musselman. She was preceded in death by three brothers Thomas, Barry and David.
Louise retired as a seamstress from Tri-Tex in 1991, after more than 26 years of service, and was formerly employed at Cove Shoe and Loungeray. She enjoyed bird watching, puzzles and puzzle books, shopping, reading her Bible and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 22, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
